Walmart is in talks with Baba Ramdev to sell Patanjali Products
Ramdev ‘s Patanjali today has more than 4000 outlets. It has been tied up with Pittie Group and also with Kishore Biyani’s Future Group on 9th October 2015 . Products are also available in modern trade stores including Reliance Retail , Hyper City and Star Bazar apart from online channels. Other shopkeepers may not be far behind to embrace the downmarket Patanjali Ghee and shampoo when Ayurveda and health consciousness fad is gaining growth.
The Indian FMCG company , Patanjali Ayurved Ltd. is presently manufacturing 800 products including 45 types of cosmetic and 30 types of food products. Patanjali Has also launched beauty and baby products. Patanjali Ayurvedic manufacturing division has over 300 medicines for treating a range of ailments and body conditions from common cold to chronic paralysis.

This fiscal Patanjali may have a revenue of rs.5000 crores , more than Colgate or Glaxo Smith Kline or Emami . IIFL , a brokerage company has forecasted revenue at rs 20000 crores by 2020 , 2/3 of what Hindustan Unilever Limited, founded in 1888, achieved last year. Patanjali may be to become the biggest FMCG marketer. Patanjali products are cheaper than alternatives in the market due to lesser production and market costs and also channel of distribution.
The most successful Patanjali products among it ‘s 30 -strong product portfolio are butter (ghee), shampoo , biscuits , noodles , honey , dental cream and aloe vera cream.
Patanjali Ayurved Ltd was capable to reduce its debt burden and invest more in the last year . The shareholders would not take dividend. Therefore high retention of profit available for shareholders is always existing.
